- From Porta S. Stefano you enter Via Murri direction Futa, continuing always straight, also after the street name changes into Via Toscana.
- After the sign “Rastignano-Comunità 5 valli bolognesi” (km.5,1), take the first road to your right (km. 5,2, road sign: Pianoro-S.C.Fondovalle) and cross the iron bridge.
- Go on straight ahead, following the main road, ignoring deviations on your right side. Leave the Shell gas station to your left (km. 6,2), continuing straight ahead, until you meet a brown sign indicating “Az. Agr. Il Cavicchio”. Immediately turn right into Via del Cavicchio (km. 7,4), until you get to Il Cavicchio farmhouse (km. 7,8).

A beautiful sightseeing road on the hills. with no traffic. At some points it can be a little narrow.

Km. 12,4
- From piazza di Porta S. Mamolo, take Via S. Mamolo, following it straight ahead until the street splits in two different roads: take the one to your right , going upwards (via dei Colli).
- Keep following this road until (on top of the hill) you reach a crossing with a road sign indicating Paderno to your left (km. 6,5).
- From there you go all the way down to the valley bottom (km. 10,6), where the road ends and enters via Alcide De Gasperi - Fondovalle del Savena (you must turn right).
- Go straight ahead until you meet a brown sign indicating “Az. Agr. Il Cavicchio”. Immediately turn right into Via del Cavicchio (km. 12), until you get to Il Cavicchio farmhouse (km. 12,4).

- Get out of the "tangenziale" at exit 11 bis (road signs: quartiere S. Ruffillo), at the traffic light turn left following indications: SS65 della Futa/Pianoro, leaving to your right the Esselunga supermarket.
- If you're coming from Imola, Adriatic Riviera, Ancona, get out of the "tangenziale" at exit 11 (road signs: S. Vitale),at the traffic light turn left direction S. Vitale, Centro. When at the roundabout, follow indications: San Lazzaro, then at the following traffic light go straight following indications: Via Emilia/SS65 della Futa/Pianoro. Leave to your right the Esselunga supermarket and continue straight ahead.
- When crossing Via degli Orti (2,1 km), go on straight (don't follow the indications Futa to the right), unless you are driving a vehicle taller than 3,20 mts.
- When you arrive at the crossing with Via Ponchielli (3,3 km.), turn right (indication Futa).
- At the following traffic light (3,8 km.) turn left (indication Futa).
- After the sign “Rastignano-Comunità 5 valli bolognesi” (km. 6,5), take the first road to your right (km. 6,6, road sign: Pianoro-S.C.Fondovalle) and cross the iron bridge.
- Go on straight ahead, following the main road, ignoring deviations on your right side. Leave the Shell gas station to your left (km. 7,6), continuing straight ahead, until you meet a brown sign indicating “Az. Agr. Il Cavicchio”. Immediately turn right into Via del Cavicchio (km. 8,7), until you get to Il Cavicchio farmhouse (km. 9,2).

- Get out of the "tangenziale" at exit 12 (indication Futa), immediately you are in a roundabout, then go to your right (direction Ospedale Bellaria, Futa) and keep on going straight through two more round-abouts.
- At the second roundabout (2,5 kms. from exit 12) go to your left following indication Ospedale Bellaria.
- At the second traffic-light (the first one takes you to the Belalria Hospital) turn right (indication Croara Rastignano).
- Go straight up until you find on your right side Via Madonna dei Boschi (km. 6,4). Follow this road until the end, where you turn right again (Via B. Buozzi) (km. 7,9).
- Going down you take Via Di Vittorio on your left side (km. 9.1), and go on following indications Pianoro. Turn left at the traffic light and get on the National Road.
- Shortly after (km. 10,1) you find on your right side a bridge: Ponte delle Oche (indication Star City), which you cross. After 100 mts. (km. 10,2) turn left. You are now on the road Fondovalle del Savena (indication Pianoro, Star City).
- Continue straight ahead, until you meet a brown sign indicating “Az. Agr. Il Cavicchio”. Immediately turn right into Via del Cavicchio (km. 7,4), until you get to Il Cavicchio farmhouse (km. 7,8).

From Milano, Modena, Verona and Firenze
Sight-seeing road amidst Bologna hills, with no traffic

- Get out from the highway A1 (Autosole) at Sasso Marconi exit. As soon as you are out, at the turnabout (0,1 km.), follow indications Bologna - Sasso Marconi.

- just before the following roundabout (3,5 km), turn right, following indications Pianoro/Rastignano.
- After another 1,1 km. (tot. 4,6 km.), turn right direction Pianoro Rastignano, going under the highway bridge.
- When you come to a crossing on the hill top (km. 9,4) turn right direction Pianoro. 200 mts. later you find a stop (9,6 km.): turn left direction Pianoro.
- Coming down from the hill, at the valley bottom, you come to a crossing (13,2 km.), just in front of a bridge and the neighbourhood of Pian di Macina. Don't cross the bridge, but turn left direction Bologna.
- Go on straight until you meet a brown sign indicating “Az. Agr. Il Cavicchio”: turn left into Via del Cavicchio (km. 16,9), until you get to Il Cavicchio farmhouse (km. 17,4)
